B2B Territory Sales Representatives
OPENVISION is looking for Outside Sales Representatives for various key locations within Ontario including Toronto/GTA, London and Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge.
As a self-motivated technical territory rep, you will be responsible to increase product/service sales, to develop new customers and grow existing accounts by aggressively promoting our Business to Business Integrated Marketing Solutions to manufacturers, distributors, resellers and consultants in several industries including: Mining, Medical, Food Processing, Agribusiness and Environmental. You will be the ambassador for OPENVISION in your territory and will work closely with key team members to help them secure orders. You will work out of your home office and be directly supported by our Cambridge, Ontario head office.
Responsibilities
- Create new sales opportunities with potential customers through trade shows, networking, referrals, email, cold calling, etc
- Grow current accounts through specific account information and persuasive selling
- Develop growth strategies by working closely with customers
- Effectively deliver demos and Power Point presentations
- Estimate and negotiate pricing and quotations
- Provide first-line assistance and after sales service and support
- Compile sales data, interpret buying cycles and assist with production planning
- Analyze market trends and develop action plans to capitalize on market changes
- Assist in developing new business and sales/marketing ideas
- Participate in trade shows, conferences and association meetings
- Be an active member of local and regional industry associations
Qualifications
- College / University degree
- 3 years technical sales experience in Business to business industries
- Experience in Marketing and Digital development preferred
- Excellent negotiations, investigation and resolution skills
- Independent and results driven
- Valid driver's license, own transportation and computer literate
Salary and Location
- Base Salary + Commission + Performance Bonus

Intermediate PHP/MySQL Web Developer
As a talented developer, you must be super proficient with hands-on coding of PhP/MySQL. You are responsible for maintaining the existing code base and documentation and must be able to provide fast turnaround of new feature implementations. Initial workload will be on a variety of current sites using a wide range of commercial and Open Source technologies.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of PHP, and database manipulation languages
- Experience and thorough understanding of AJAX and JavaScript
- Experience and thorough understanding of CSS and CSS3
- Specific knowledge on open source CMS platforms: Joomla, WordPress, Magento, OsCommerce, etc. The candidate must have practical experience of both installing OP-based web solutions but also have hands-on experience with the intricacies of creating extensions (modules, plug-ins, mambots, components, etc).
- Advanced experience with graphics is not required however a basic understanding is required along with basic understand of common graphical packages such as Photoshop and Flash.
- Understanding of the current growing web 2.0 new media platforms (such as Facebook and Youtube) and willingness to learn the APIs of such platforms where necessary.
- Understanding of the current growing Native and Web Mobile Apps platforms (such as iPhone, Android, BlackBerry).
Experience and Attributes
You have 3 years experience in PHP-based Web Application Development, outstanding drive and ownership, and excellent interpersonal skills. You are also:
- Passionate and enthusiastic about web development and able to think “outside the box”.
- A great communicator and team-player, having the ability to communicate well with all members of the team (on a non-technical level if necessary)
- An excellent problem-solver who likes a challenge and adopts a “CAN DO” attitude over a “Computer Says No” attitude!
- Creative, and comfortable with presenting different opinions, concepts, ideas and solutions to the rest of the team, unprompted.
Salary and Location
Salary will be negotiated based on experience. The role will be 9-5 and will be office based in Cambridge, Ontario. We are also open for telecommuting.
We will consider college/university graduates and during the run up to graduation we are flexible on terms and can facilitate a position on a more flexible basis until the candidate has finished their final year of study and is ready to work full time.
